What I love about my home

I love this neighborhood of  three short streets and  two canals.  it's quiet, there's not a lot going on. All of the lots are large at 10,200 ft.²  There is plenty of room for a large pool canal side. And I have a boat ramp!! Cudjoe Key, where I am located, is where Irma made landfall. I lost seven large coconut palms, a small sour orange tree and misc shrubbery.   No storm surge here. My house was not damaged! The 60 foot wide, 15 foot deep canal is a clean swim canal you can enjoy it year round. We have manatees this time of year. All kinds of young fish in the canal. The mangroves at the outlet of the canal are the hatchery for all these babies. The house has double slider pocket doors in the master bedroom opening onto the large canaIside  porch and triple pocket sliders in the living room,  opening at the other end of the porch. This opens up the whole house. The kitchen double pocket sliders open to the front balcony. It's a great place to enjoy breakfast. Leaving the canal and onto  Kemp channel, go left and you can head directly to the back country and the lovely beaches that are accessible only by boat. Go to the right on Kemp channel and head out into the Atlantic and snorkel and dive at Looe Key or any number of places. There are several  nearby restaurants that are accessible by boat with dock space. And of course fishing, I wasn't forgetting we have fishing, it's a given, it's great everywhere!
