NO! This is a false claim (really, scare tactic) from real estate agents and traditional real estate companies to try and convince a homeowner (especially FSBOs) to list with an agent instead of using a flat fee MLS listing service. There is no way that a potential buyer’s agent and/or broker would know that you used a flat fee MLS listing service to post your home. Also, there is no designated area on an MLS® listing where it would indicate that you did not pay commission to a listing agent, or traditional real estate company. In the end, the buyer’s agent/broker only cares about the commission that you are willing to give to them. Your property will be shown by Realtors® and their buyers (your future prospect) regardless!
