Realtors® show homes based on buyer needs, not the listing company
As a Beycome flat fee MLS customer, it’s important to know that property showings work the same way as they do with any traditional listing. Realtors® do not limit themselves to showing homes listed by their own brokerage. Their role is to serve their buyers and show properties that match what those buyers are looking for.
When a buyer shares their criteria, such as price range, location, size, and features, the agent searches the MLS for matching homes. If your property fits that wishlist, it becomes part of the options presented to the buyer. The name of the listing company does not change that process.
How the MLS works for Beycome listings
Once your property is listed on the MLS through Beycome, it appears in the same system used by all licensed Realtors® and brokers. Agents use the MLS to find homes, schedule showings, write offers, and close transactions.
The MLS does not separate listings by traditional agents versus flat fee or owner-listed properties. Your Beycome listing shows up in the same searches, with the same visibility, as any other MLS listing. If an agent has a buyer looking for a home like yours, your property will be seen.
FSBO with flat fee listings still get full exposure
A common myth is that FSBO or flat fee MLS listings get ignored. In reality, buyers create demand, and Realtors® respond to that demand. If your home is priced correctly, well presented, and available for showings, agents will bring buyers to see it.
Realtors® want successful closings. If your property meets their buyer’s needs, they will show it, regardless of who listed it.
