Did you just have a successful home sale close? The next step is one of the most important to keep in mind when it comes to finalizing your home transaction.
This action is required if your home was listed on beycome.com, with or without having purchased our flat fee MLS packages.
You will need to update your property information as soon as your property has closed successfully so that we may adjust your listing status on our platform and on the MLS accordingly and avoid an MLS fine.
Step 1: Log in to your Beycome dashboard
Start by logging into your Beycome account. Always use your own login credentials. For security and compliance reasons, Beycome only accepts listing updates directly from the property owner’s account. This protects your information and prevents unauthorized changes.
Once inside your dashboard, locate your active or recently active listing.
Step 2: Change the listing status to Closed
From your dashboard, open the Status menu for your property. Select Closed to begin the update process. This action tells the system and the MLS® that the transaction has completed and that the property is no longer available.
After selecting “Closed,” the system will prompt you to enter your closing details.
Step 3: Enter your closing information
Carefully complete all required closing fields. You must provide the following information:
-
Closing date
-
Final closing price
-
Payment terms
-
Agent information, if an agent participated in the transaction
Accurate information matters. The MLS® uses these details for recordkeeping, market statistics, and compliance purposes. Take a moment to review everything before moving forward.
Step 4: Upload required documents
Next, upload the required documents. The MLS® requires both documents to complete the status update:
-
The closing statement
-
The fully executed contract
These documents are mandatory. Without them, Beycome cannot finalize the status change. Make sure the files are clear, complete, and readable before uploading.
Step 5: Confirm your update
After entering the information and uploading the documents, click the Confirm button. This step submits your request to Beycome’s system.
Once submitted, one of our customer service representatives will review the information and update your property’s status. This review ensures accuracy and compliance with MLS® rules before the update goes live.
Important security and compliance rules
For security reasons, Beycome only accepts listing changes through your Beycome account. We cannot process updates requested by email, phone call, or third party. This policy protects homeowners and keeps listings compliant with MLS® standards.
If someone else helped with your transaction, you must still submit the update yourself through your account.
When this update is required
You must complete this step if your home was listed on Beycome.com, whether or not you purchased a flat fee MLS® package. Any property that appears on Beycome and connects to an MLS® record requires a proper closing update.
Keeping your listing current helps maintain accurate market data and ensures a smooth experience for future buyers and sellers.
