One such tale was the rumor that Mr. Watt’s personal residence had been built where there once stood an old Cherokee log cabin. Sure enough, during restoration the current owners uncovered notched logs from an ancient log cabin beneath the floors, and a piece of that is proudly on display in the parlor of the home today.
