Bloomington, IL

Now is your exclusive opportunity to rent and live in a prestigious home, with over 3000 square feet of space, 5 bedrooms, and gorgeous detail and upgrades throughout. Built in approximately 1908 by C.U. Williams, local inventor and entrepreneur, this two-story Victorian is part of Bloomington history, and needs an appreciative tenant to care for it for a one year or more lease. Located in the heart of Founders Grove, a priceless amenity. The home opens from an enclosed porch to an inviting foyer, with a spacious, light-filled living room and formal dining room. Beyond, you'll find a mid-century modern kitchen, with all the bells & whistles needed to create individual meals or exciting dinner parties, while still containing vintage, usable features. Upgrades throughout this home include beautiful lighting fixtures, modern hardware, electric, no-touch window shades, refinished cabinets, new hardwood flooring upstairs, original gorgeous hardwood downstairs, remodeled and stunning full bathrooms, dual AC systems run via an Ecobee thermostat, and so many other surprises that make this property come to life. The sunroom off the foyer is ideal for a first-level bedroom, with attached ensuite bathroom shower. Upstairs, enjoy 4 more bedrooms, one of which is ideal for an office due to its smaller size if needed. A second full bath completes the living space, with room for everyone. If that's not all, the property's landscaping boasts new magnolia trees lining the front walkway, lilies, and other native plants to enjoy almost year round. The exterior siding has been painted a modern, reflective black that is energy efficient. Appreciate the patio area for sitting out, grilling, entertaining, and the nearly half acre lot and backyard space that can only be found on Washington St, including enjoyment of the pond if so desired. Here at 1313 E Washington, you'll find history, charm, easy living, and be in awe of the improvements made to allow you to move right in and feel at home.
