What is Codicil?

This is a supplement or addition to a will, used to make minor changes or clarifications to the original document. A codicil is typically used to make small changes to a will, such as changing the name of a beneficiary or adding a new asset to the estate. In order to be valid, a codicil must be executed with the same formalities as the original will and must be consistent with the terms of the original document.
