What is Curable Defect?

A curable defect is a problem or deficiency in a property that can be corrected through repairs or renovations. Curable defects can be identified through a home inspection or other assessment of the property, and they can range from minor issues, such as a leaky faucet, to more serious problems, such as structural damage. In some cases, the seller of a property may be required to make repairs or fix defects in order to complete the sale.
