What is Dropped Ceiling?

A dropped ceiling is a type of ceiling that is suspended a short distance below the main ceiling of a room. Dropped ceilings, also known as suspended ceilings, are commonly used to hide pipes, wires, or other utilities, and they may also be used to improve the acoustics or the appearance of a room. Dropped ceilings may be made of a variety of materials, such as tiles, panels, or planks, and they may be finished in a variety of colors or textures.
