What is Employer-Assisted Housing?

Employer-assisted housing is a program or initiative that helps employees to afford housing in a specific location or area. Employer-assisted housing programs may provide financial assistance, such as down payment assistance or mortgage subsidies, or they may offer other forms of support, such as housing counseling or information about local housing options. Employer-assisted housing programs may be offered by private employers, government agencies, or non-profit organizations, and they may be designed to attract and retain employees or to address specific housing needs or challenges in a particular area.
