What is Empty Nesters?

Empty nesters are individuals or couples who no longer have children living at home. Empty nesters may be homeowners or renters, and they may be in their 40s, 50s, or 60s. Empty nesters may be interested in downsizing or in purchasing a second home, and they may be more open to innovative or unconventional housing options. Empty nesters may also be interested in communities or neighborhoods that offer amenities or activities that are geared towards adults, such as golf courses, fitness centers, or cultural events.
