What is Metes and Bounds?

Metes and Bounds refers to a method of land surveying that is used to describe the boundaries of a piece of property. This method uses natural landmarks, such as rivers and trees, as well as man-made markers, such as roads and fences, to define the property's boundaries. It also includes measurements such as distance and direction, as well as property corner markers and monumenst.
