What is Power of Attorney?

Power of Attorney - A power of attorney is a legal document that allows an individual to appoint someone else (the "attorney-in-fact" or "agent") to act on their behalf. This can include making financial or legal decisions, signing documents, and accessing accounts. There are different types of power of attorney, such as general power of attorney, which grants broad authority, or limited power of attorney, which grants specific authority for a particular task.
