What is Queen Anne Style?

Queen Anne Style - Queen Anne style is a type of architectural style that was popular in the late 19th century, characterized by its asymmetrical design, steeply pitched roofs, and ornate decoration. The style was named after Queen Anne of England, who ruled from 1702 to 1714, although the architecture of the style does not resemble any architectural styles from her reign. Queen Anne-style houses are known for their ornate facades, decorative shingles and gingerbread trim, towers, turrets, and wrap-around porch.
