What is R-Value?

R-Value - R-value is a measure of a material's resistance to heat flow. It is commonly used to measure the insulation value of building materials such as walls, floors, and ceilings. The higher the R-value, the better the insulation's ability to slow the flow of heat. R-value is important in determining the energy efficiency of a building and is often used to comply with building codes and energy efficiency standards.
