What do real estate agents do?

A real estate agent is a licensed professional who helps individuals and businesses buy, sell and rent properties. They typically work for a real estate brokerage and are responsible for representing clients in real estate transactions. They assist clients with tasks such as listing and advertising properties, showing properties to potential buyers, and negotiating offers and deals. They also help clients with the paperwork and legal aspects of buying or selling a property. Real estate agents are usually compensated through commissions, which are a percentage of the sale or rental price of the property.
