What's a Real Estate Broker?

A real estate broker is a licensed professional who oversees the activities of real estate agents and manages a real estate brokerage. They typically have more experience and training than agents, and may have additional responsibilities such as recruiting and training new agents, managing the brokerage's finances, and handling legal and compliance issues. A broker must have a broker's license, which requires additional training and testing compared to an agent's license. Real estate brokers can also act as agents themselves and represent clients in real estate transactions, but they can also manage a team of agents and handle more complex transactions. They may earn a higher commission than agents or charge a flat fee for their services.
