What is Saltbox Style?

Saltbox style is a type of architectural design that is characterized by a long, sloping roof that slopes down to the back of the house. This design is often associated with colonial-era architecture, and it is named after the shape of the roof which is similar to the shape of a wooden box used for storing salt in colonial times. Saltbox houses are typically two-story houses, with one side of the house having two stories and the other side having one.
