What is Tenancy By The Entirety?

Tenancy by the entirety is a type of property ownership in which a married couple holds the property together as a single entity. This means that both spouses have an equal right to the property, and neither can sell or transfer their interest without the consent of the other. If one spouse dies, the other automatically becomes the sole owner of the property. This type of ownership is only available to married couples and is recognized in some U.S states.
