What is Timeshare?

A timeshare is a type of vacation ownership in which a group of people jointly own a property, typically a vacation home or resort, and are entitled to use the property for a specified period of time each year. Timeshares are often sold as a form of real estate, and ownership is usually divided into "intervals," which are specific dates or weeks during the year. Timeshares are typically used as vacation homes and are popular among people who want to own a piece of property but don't want the full-time responsibilities that come with owning a traditional home.
